Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Envly ("we", "us") is a native macOS application created by Dmytro Virych. This policy covers both the Envly app and the website at envly.app. Questions? Email support@envly.app.
2. What the app collects
Envly is designed to keep your data on your machine:
- Your .env files and their contents never leave your Mac. They are read from and written to your local disk only. We never transmit, store, or have access to them.
- The app contacts the internet for exactly two purposes: one-time license activation and checking for software updates (via Sparkle). Neither sends your variables.
- The optional encrypted backup is stored locally (or in a location you choose) and is encrypted with AES-256. We hold no keys.
- Your license key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your device.
3. What the website collects
- Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, country). We do not build advertising profiles and do not sell data.
- Optional contact. If you email us, we keep that correspondence to answer you.
4. Payments and your license email
Purchases are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. When you buy Envly, Creem collects the information needed to complete the transaction (such as your email and payment details) and emails your license key to you. Your payment details are handled by Creem under its own privacy policy — we never see your full card information. We receive only the order and license information required to support your purchase.
5. How we use information
We use the limited information above to deliver your license, provide support, validate activations, and improve the product and site. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data requests
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email support@envly.appand we'll respond promptly. For payment-related data, requests may be routed to Creem as the Merchant of Record.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it on the site.
